Coorg

Coorg is home to the Indian temple Omkareshwara Nyingmapa as well as the largest Tibetan monastery in India. The beautiful country side and its heavenly hills are viewed best from the famous 'Raja's Seat,' in Madikery. There is the Dubare elephant camp and shepards roaming with their sheep along the roads. Their tribal community still lives in the forest maintaining their traditional lifestyle while trying to find balance with how to be part of modern society.
